ABOUTWelcome to my portfolio and my studio. Featured above is my at home work space, where I create all of my art when I'm not at school. I am a recent graduate of West Potomac High School and am excited to attend the University of Chicago in the fall, studying biology and chemical ecology.
My passion for art has been a large part of my life. Since I was a little kid, I've been painting and drawing constantly, whether that be doodling in class, painting with my grandma, or sketching in my backyard on a nice day. Art is a form of self-expression that allows me to release my creative frustrations, all the while creating a (hopefully) beautiful product in the end. Another reason I love art is because it's around me wherever I go. One of my favorite things to do is to explore local art museums with my mom when we travel. We've seen art from all across the country, from big cities to small towns: no matter our location, there's always an art museum nearby. It's also a great way to get to know the local community better-- a town or city's art museum is representative of their world views, which are always exciting to see. |
